Alyssa Staker, President
Alyssa lives in Wellfleet and has a thriving private practice as a massage therapist. She has a deep love for food, community and wellness. What started as an interest in growing her own food led to working alongside Cape Cod’s local farmers as the Wellfleet Farmers Market Manager in 2019. She joyfully managed the market for five years. In 2024, she joined the WFM Board of Directors and is grateful for the opportunity to follow her passion, serve her loving community and to spread gratitude for fresh, local food to WFM’s community members near and far.
Katie Pentedemos, Vice President
Katie Pentedemos lives in Wellfleet and is an actor, improviser and special education teacher. She joined the WFM Board of Directors in 2023 and was the market manager for the summer of 2024. Katie cares deeply about the Outer Cape Community and is committed to ensuring folks have equal opportunities to access local food. She is so grateful to be a part of this sweet, thriving community!
Maia Ward, Director
Maia lives with her family in Orleans, as the co-owner of a marine engineering company that she operates with her husband, Tom. An avid volunteer, she has thrown herself into multiple projects centered on environmental preservation and community development. She gladly joined the board of the WFM in 2024. “The Cape community is so special and we are proud to be part of it. I believe that growing food is a revolutionary act, farmers deserve to thrive, and everyone deserves nourishing foods that support our environment as well as our bodies.” Find her in the garden or on the beach. Eat local!
Katie Emond, Director
Food is life! I live in Eastham with my husband and our son and work in Wellfleet. I love being part of a bodacious beach community that works to support one another and all who pass through. I’m happy to be a part of the Wellfleet Farmers Market!
Victoria Pecoraro, Treasurer
Victoria, our longest standing board member, is a local farmer, cheese pusher, hot sauce maker and owner of the Wellfleet Chick Coop. She is a vibrant community member who focuses on raising heritage and endangered egg layers and growing Italian heirloom vegetables. You can find her as a vendor at the Truro Farmers Market on Mondays and our very on market on Wednesdays.
Danielle Sargent, Market Manager
Danielle, a true Fleetian, is a gardener, florist, artist and bartender who feels lucky to continue calling this community home. She thrives in a garden and can grow just about any flower to perfection. When she’s not gardening, or floral arranging for a wedding, she’s out in the community volunteering and spending time with her friends and family. Danielle cares deeply about the Wellfleet community and is excited to join the team as the new market manager.
